The Fieldstone School Health Career Development Program is a program sponsored by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) through the MassHire Central Regional Workforce Board (MCRWB) administered by the MassHire Central Career Center (MCCC).
This is a free two-and-a-half-month long Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide program for young adults between the ages of 17 and 24, who possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applicants are encouraged to continue with ECG and Phlebotomy traning.
To qualify, applicants are required to complete an application, pass a TABE test in Reading and Math, and be from an economically disadvantaged family.
Qualified individuals may choose to go through the Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide training only, or Phlebotomy/ECG, or all three programs and job development training. Enrollment to this program only limited to those applicants through MassHire Central Career Center.
Upon graduation, the school will register each student to take the state certification exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide and/or national NHA exams for ECG and Phlebotomy Technician, depending on which programs they completed. Graduates receive resources to secure employment, case management and are followed for twelve months after employment to ensure retention.
