The Fieldstone School Health Career Development Program is a program sponsored by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) through the Central Mass Workforce Investment Board (CMWIB) administered by the Workforce Central Career Center (WCCC).
This is a free two-and-a-half-month long Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide program for young adults between the ages of 17 and 24, who possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
To qualify, applicants are required to complete an application, pass a TABE test in Reading and Math, and be from an economically disadvantaged family.
Qualified individuals go through the Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide training and job development training. Enrollment to this program only limited to those applicants through MassHire Career Center.
Upon graduation, each student is registered to take the state certification exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide. Graduates receive help in securing employment and are followed for twelve months after employment to ensure retention.
